Eligibility typically includes people with significant disability who are of working age (18 and over at Mambourin), receive the Disability Support Pension (DSP), and are NDIS participants with employment goals in their plan

Not necessarily. Your income is assessed, and you may still receive part or all of your DSP depending on your wages. Work may also increase your income cap under the DSP work bonus.

Supports include on-the-job training, supervision, skill development, workplace adjustments, behaviour support, and help with social interactions.

It allows employers to pay a wage based on an employee’s productivity, assessed independently, ensuring fairness while encouraging employment.

Yes! Mambourin uses a third-party NDIS registered transport provider to offer transport options for eligible participants attending our programs or employment sites. Availability may vary by location and individual needs.

Yes, participants in the SLES program have the opportunity to engage in work experience.

Yes, participants in the SLES program have the opportunity to explore and apply for jobs with the guidance and support of a mentor.

Yes, but wages may vary. In ADEs, wages are often based on a supported wage assessment system. In open employment, employees must be paid at or above the minimum wage.

Yes. Many people use supported employment as a stepping stone to open employment. DES providers and NDIS supports can assist with the transition.

Yes. You have the right to explore other supported employment options or transition to open employment at any time.
